Delivery Opportunities

The Post Independent is now accepting applications for independent contract newspaper carriers.

Apply by phoning (970) 945-8515 x 16131, e-mail mboutwell@postindependent.com, or stop in and fill out an application at our office during business hours.

Carriers are under contract to work seven days a week and deliver before 6am. All customers are office pay so there are no carrier collections. Route size varies from 40 to over 1,000 papers depending on location.

We are looking for dedicated, organized and detail oriented people. You must be able to lift 35 pounds. For most routes, you need a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, insurance, and a good driving record. Some routes are best done walking or by bike.

Newspaper in Education Program

The Post Independent newspaper is committed to supporting education. We encourage young people to read and learn. The newspaper is a valuable and credible tool for teachers, parents and students to use in both classroom and home settings.

Here is how you can support NIE:
- Donate your unused newspaper credit to the NIE account.
- Sponsor a class trip to tour our printing facility in Gypsum, Colo.
